Digital technology and creative industries are shaping the future of work, offering new avenues for self-expression, entrepreneurship, and career growth. However, Deaf students and individuals in general often face significant barriers in accessing these opportunities due to communication challenges, lack of inclusive training programs, and limited exposure to digital tools.
UNTAMED VOICES, through its I AM ABLE Project, is dedicated to bridging this gap by providing Death students at Mampong School for the Deaf with essential digital, creative, and personal development skills. This initiative aligns with our broader mission to amplify unheard voices, promote inclusivity, and empower marginalized communities through education and skills development. This project is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Goal 4: Quality Education Goal 8: Decent work and Economic growth. Goal 10: Reduce Inequality. Goal 17: Partnership for the Gals
By equipping Deaf learners with practical skills in digital media, creative arts, and personal growth, this training program aims to foster self-reliance, boost employability, and unlock new economic opportunities for the Death community.
